My students will be able to conduct internet research and work collaboratively to solve issues and deepen literacy skills. My students overcoming SPED, dyslexia, and behavioral-emotional issues will connect with content brought to them in an easily accessible and engaging manner, ie through internet usage in a group setting. This will allow students to develop social skills as well as deepen academic skills and strengthen areas of weakness. My kiddos (young adults) will have the opportunity to meet authors across the United States through skype and video conferencing. They will gain real life skills through student centered video blogging. In addition they will access internet based educational platforms such as Kahoot, Near Pod, Google classroom, Microsoft One Note, Seesaw, and various other educational gameafied literacy lessons. Students will have more access to basic creative supplies through the use of a classroom set of colored pencils and crayons.
