A considerable part of 7th grade science curriculum is human body and organ systems. We study organs, organ systems, and the relationship between structure and function. Frog dissection lab is an important part of our Human Body study. My students will be dissecting a whole organism for the first time. They will go through each organ system, investigate the structure, and determine how the structure helps the function. They will also compare human and frog organs and organ systems, and determine the similarities and differences of the two. This will be the most memorable experience of the 7th grade science class.
