This year, the students at my school debuted our first full-produced musical theater production. However, as the space was not designed to feature these types of productions, the students were not provided with a well-lit performance space, and were not able to truly showcase their talents. The lighting system, that I hope to purchase, will enable future cast members to be seen and give a true theatrical experience to both the cast and the audience. The students involved in our musical theater productions learn to, not only sing and dance, but they also learn cooperation, self-discipline, time management, problem solving, etc.
