I have gotten rid of my desks this year to opt for tables and these flexible seating options. These items will help my students who are a bit more wiggly and need to move their bodies to focus! The yoga balls and wobble stools are great for those who need to bounce around a little bit during lessons. I have seen students still focused and engaged, all while moving around in their seats! The bouncy bands will be perfect for those students who want to move their feet, with little distractions to others. These seating options will also make collaboration amongst students easier, as they can easily move around the room to different tables and seating areas to work in groups. I am hoping that straying away from typical desks and chairs will allow my students more freedom, choice, and allow them to feel at home in their classroom! The donations for this project will improve my classroom by allowing students much-needed stimulation and movement.
