Each student will be given his or her own copy of the novel to borrow and read at home. This book will make a difference in my students' learning by engaging them in a modern-day novel in which the narrator has Autism. This will give my students a greater understanding of the way a person with Autism's mind may work. It also gives them a chance to read novel that's been written recently. Romeo and Juliet and the Odyssey are very important, but it's also important to show them that a book doesn't have to be old to have literary value.
