Because of the socioeconomic background of the students in my class they struggle to bring in many of the basic supplies needed for school. Due to financial reasons our district no longer purchases the workbooks that coincide with our reading and math series for students. We are fortunate that we are able to print off the pages we need to use with our students. As you can imagine, it is difficult for 8 year old children to stay organized with loose papers. The papers tend to get lost, destroyed, dropped, or left at school or home. These supplies would help my students stay organized and eliminate lost instructional time looking for papers that they need to learn! I use the card stock to make matching covers for the binders that include their name, my name, room number and binder title.
