Annually I meet with 5th grade girls to talk about hygiene. The care and keeping of you will provide an outline as we discuss the importance of physically caring for their bodies. We talk about physical care, healthy eating, exercise, bathing and feelings. Loving themselves will impact how they connect with others. It is important for my girls to understand the changes that will be happening in their bodies so that when these changes begin they know that they are good, nothing's wrong. With this understanding comes confident girls who are secure with themselves. Girls who can reach out to and stand up for others.
