The students in Mrs. Engelbert’s 6th-grade class would love if you could help fund the materials for breakout boxes! Breakout boxes can be used in any subject and can be customized to increase competencies of skills in a fun and creative way. Breakout boxes are student centered and inquiry based. Students need to solve multiple puzzles to find the combination or key to open the locks on the breakout boxes. Using breakout boxes in the 6th-grade classroom will encourage collaboration, critical thinking, and creativity. The boxes will also help to improve communication skills as students work under pressure to persevere through challenging problems.
