Our students struggle with being focused. The tablets engage our students by allowing them to focus on fun, yet educational content with limited distractions. When they are focused they are able to practice and apply the concepts being taught daily. It also allows students to choose different learning platforms dependent upon each student's level. Despite our students' disabilities, they defy the myth that "students with disabilities cannot use the same technology that typical students use." To the contrary, our students are able to use this technology with ease as any typical student is able to. It is their window to the world. We need 4 new Kindle Fire tablets for our students.

About my class
