It is very unique that we often have elders from the community to come in and share their life experiences with us. They help to put history in the proper perspective when they learn from someone first hand. They can tell students their accounts of the world wars, the depression, the economic strife of the community. When students can relate these accounts to their own community, they find it more relevant and interesting.
