My first graders will use this carpet to quickly find theirs spots and workspace during carpet time. The carpet will allow them to visually be able to remember where it is that they sit as well as how much room they can use to spreed out their materials. Students will be able to physically turn and talk to a partner during learning time and then turn back to face the front quickly and reliably. The carpet will also allow me to be able to move more freely between partners so that i can listen to what they are sharing and thinking. A classroom carpet will help to maximize classroom instruction and minimize distractions. This carpet will help students to quickly get to where they need to be ready to learn with minimal disruptions. Knowing where they are going to sit will allow my students to have more time learning during whole group learning time!
