This professional workshop will help me use assessment data to inform small group instruction for specific needs in reading and writing. Teaching students how to transfer skills acquired in phonics and reading and apply to their writing practice. It will support alignment with global, state and district standards in English Language Arts as well as provide a trajectory of lesson plans to strengthen foundational skills and enhance the writing process at all stages of development. This will change my students' work ethic and academic mindset by focusing on independent learning and creating a literacy-rich ongoing dialogue in their daily lives.

About my class
