Our classroom is highly motivated and highly driven. Our classroom motto is, "Life Awaits your Results, not your Excuses." We operate under a "Results Only Matter" mentality while driving towards our goals. Our goal is to attain and hone the skills necessary to be successful in life. In our English Language Arts classes, those skills are: Reading, Writing, Speaking, Listening, and Researching. Beyond the classes, we have the GHS Chess Team which strives to master our interior monologues with disciplined thinking to produce effective solutions to the problems we face. On our team website, it says, "Chess teaches team members to embrace chaos and manage it calmly, creatively, and methodically." And we strive to develop those skills every day after school for 1 to 2 hours a day. Then, we test those skills at tournaments as often as possible.
