These books will provide love for reading through relative material. The story will provide great discussion questions and deal with issues about the danger of indifference. I am looking forward to seeing how the students bring their own experiences to the "round table" for discussion and connect to the text. I am also excited to see how the students will use this text to promote critical thinking and problem-solving skills. My students will be taking the English II test this year and need higher level Lexile texts to read that is also interesting and provides great discussions in class. This book fits that criteria and will provide a great reading experience for years to come.
