I teach High School science, Integrated Physics and Chemistry, to at risk, minority students in Texas. Most of my kids did poorly in science the previous year(s) and struggle with science. Despite its name, IPC is an introductory physics and chemistry class meant to teach the kids the basics and prep them for the state assessment test. Most of the students are 10th graders, but there are several 11th and 12th graders struggling to pass the Exit level of our TAKs test so they can graduate.
