Help students at my school have access to diverse literature in order to learn the historical foundation of America. These books will empower my students when they see their culture represented in history. The discussion we will have with these books will inspire them to continue to contribute to our community in a positive way. These books will be shared with students at all grade levels from K-6th on our campus. My students love reading books like these because it makes social studies content more relatable. When they see diverse characters with similar backgrounds as themselves, they are more engaged in learning.
