I am the proud Math and Science teacher to about 30 fourth-graders in a Title 1 school in Tyler, Texas. My students have the intelligence and capacity to surpass any student from any neighborhood. I truly believe that! I am blessed to work in a School District that provides our students an Equitable Access to a Superb Education. Nevertheless, if there is one thing that my students are in dire need of is more exposure to academic vocabulary through engaging and unique science activities and programs. In just a few months, my students will be moving from Fourth Grade to Fifth Grade and taking a state assessment to measure their academic knowledge in Science. I am working hard to prepare them for that but I also want to expose them to unforgettable, hands-on experiences and see Science work its magic with their very own eyes.
