My students are just beginning to read and they are doing fantastic! We have also just implemented Daily 5 which is based on a rotation that involves read to self, work on writing, read to someone, work with the teacher, and word work. Right now, we don't have anywhere for students to sit and read during read to self or read to someone except for a carpet and a pillow. My students are really enjoying this time to sit and read to themselves and I think it would be wonderful to have somewhere for them to go, relax and read read read! These comfortable chairs will make reading fun for my students and will be a huge motivator for the kiddos who are struggling as well!
