Young children are so excited about learning and are extremely proud of themselves when they learn to do something on their own. To see the light beam inside of them when they learn to read is priceless to me. It is something they will carry the rest of their lives. An added bonus to their learning is when their parents also learn. Whether the parent is inspired to learn to read or read at a higher level, read to gain information, read in English, or just to learn to love reading more than just Facebook posts, these gains benefits the family structure and breaks the cycle if illiteracy. Thank you for helping my students and their families increase their reading skills and love of reading!
