This project provides students receiving special education services with equipment and resources to be better prepared to learn. Students with special needs must have their sensory needs met before they can be successful academically and behaviorally! The seat cushions provide sensory input and allow for movement while working on reading and math at the tables. The headphones cancel loud or overwhelming noise to allow students to better focus and remain calm. The vinyl adhesive and transfer paper allow the teachers to create a sensory walking path for students to get a movement break and the sensory input their bodies and brains need. The other educational activities and supplies are for helping the students with math and reading skill deficits, once their sensory needs are met!
