I am requesting some extra materials for my students. I am a second-year teacher still trying to figure out what materials work the best for my 1st grade students. The giant notepad will be an excellent visual for teaching whole-group writing and will allow me to keep concrete examples up during the unit. The folders will help my students stay focused during independent work. This will also give them privacy during tests and make our test-taking process much smoother and easier. The letters will assist my students who need extra help on letters and word formation. We are over halfway through first grade and I need a few of my lower students to really master their letter-sound recognition.
