With the addition of two Samsung Galaxy tablets into our classroom, my students will have the ability to access technology each and every day. There are so many applications to both reinforce skills and challenge higher level thinking. With such a broad range of students in my class, Samsung tablets will enable me to reach visual and kinesthetic learners. Tablets will engage these kids while providing them with real world skills. My mother always used to tell me, “Time flies when you’re havin’ fun.” This is the experience students feel when they get a chance to learn on a tablet. They have no idea they’re learning. Tablets can be integrated into every lesson I teach. Whether it is centers focusing on writing, reading, phonemic awareness, or math—there’s an app for that. This is the 21st century. Every student needs consistent access to technology in the classroom. No student should be held back due to lack of funds. Students will participate in shared research projects, collaborative group work, and individual practice. They will love to challenge each other to a fact fluency battle. Samsung Galaxy tablets will be our ladder into the 21st century and will drastically aide our learning experiences.
