My students do not have access to books to read at home. Luckily, our classroom library is filled with many book titles that they enjoy reading, but our current bookshelves are outdated. They are made out of metal that has collected enough rust over the years. Also, they are very tall and students cannot reach the top shelves. Our book baskets are old and they are falling apart; many of them have tape to help keep them in one piece. Our library needs some TLC. The new bookshelves and book baskets will help us organize our library, turning it into an inviting cozy corner in our classroom where students can easily find their favorite books. Reading is so important and I want to give my students an organized library, where books are easy to access, so all they have to worry about is picking an interesting book and going on an adventure as they read it. Your generosity will help my students fall in love with reading a little more each day, by providing brand new shelves and baskets to keep our library tidy and organized.
