I have 150 great 6th grade science students. I like to provide them with as many hands-on opportunities as possible and they learn so much from these experiences. Unfortunately with budget cuts and a very limited budget for our science department, it is hard to provide science tools to do these experiments. I am hoping to get at least two triple beam balances for my class. Science tools like this can be so expensive that just one or two of them wipes out our Science budget for the year. Currently, I sometimes have up to 8 kids sharing one triple beam balance when we do labs.
