Parachute play and training is a great way to promote teamwork in middle schoolers. There is also a lot of health benefits of parachute play. The benefits of parachute play and training are many. It encourages cooperation and non-competitive play, Differing abilites are a non issue! Parachute play also refines perceptual skills and reinforces turn-taking and sharing. It also helps develop a sense of rhythm and promotes social interaction. Parachute play requires following directions and spending time and working together with classmates. Many fun games can be created like: Popcorn, Ball Roll, Making Waves, Merry-Go-Round and Parachute Tag...just to name a few!!
