It is a known fact that collaborative spaces foster more meaningful learning experiences. With the materials requested, I will get rid of 25 individual desks and welcome 6 group tables. Because funding is scarce in regards to school furniture, I will transform the traditional wood grain table-tops into dry erase tables using the paint requested. Students will use the individual chair pockets to organize their personal materials by still having individual space. Instead of scattering around the hallways and using giant poster paper while working on group projects, my students will be able to effectively connect ideas and collaborate- just by re-purposing school tables! With your generous donation, you will ultimately be transforming the learning environment indefinitely. Students will be able to effortlessly work together within a variety group settings throughout the year, all while not compromising personal space. The best part? Once complete, this project will impact students in my classroom year after year!
