My students are hard workers and do their best to complete all assignments to the best of their ability using what technology is available. Pineville has a very high poverty rate with around 500 students K-12 and the free/reduced average is 76% and the state average is 60%. I teach grades 9-12 and some of the classes are Computer Applications, Economics, Business Communications and Advanced Computer Applications. Some of my classes have an enrollment of 20-25 students. I started with 20 Dell computers eight years ago and now have 14 that are working good enough for the kids to complete some tasks. I was able to attend a training and receive 2 Apple computers, but we still do not have what we need for the classroom. Besides the number of computers I have they are also running on old systems. Windows 2000 is running on most of the computers. As you know Windows has been updated many times since then.
