These 40 quality picture books will help our students in so many ways. They will gain background knowledge on the themes we are learning in class. We will read these books to introduce each unit of study. The books focus on themes that are relevant to young children--Family, Grocery Store, Hospital, and Community Helpers. These books have big ideas to help our students deepen their understanding of new concepts and vocabulary. I am requesting many of the titles in hardcover so they will be durable and last a long time. I plan to use these books for many years to create meaningful experiences for my students.
