I call these kiddos my Epic 5th Graders because they are just that. Epic. They are so curious, it makes me envious. Remember those days when finding the answer to one question was glorious? Any maybe that one question took you down a rabbit hole into a world of new questions. Well, these kids are not intimidated by unanswered questions or hard work or failure. I think it's because we build it into the curriculum and recognize that there is no shame in not knowing--only in not trying harder to figure it out. I hope you all have a kiddo in your life like these ones to remind you of that childlike wonder. Or, if you dare, support a classroom that encourages inquiry and grit and creativity.
