For our 7th grade expo project, students will become culturally responsive citizens as they answer the question, "How does education lead people on a path to freedom?" This year, students have been reading about people who have opened doors for themselves and others through education. We would like to include I Am Malala as a part of these anchor texts for our cross-disciplinary project based learning expo in May. Based on their reading, students will create an action plan for how to help increase education for others. This will include components from science, social studies, literacy, and physical education. "I would love for my classmates and I to get the opportunity to be inspired and empowered by this amazing story!" -Zohar Heiman
