It is my belief that students learn better in an environment where they are free to explore. To be independent, self guided, and challenged to reach their highest potential. So instead of completing worksheets at a desk all day, I implement math and reading rotation centers to apply this style of learning. It can be an overwhelming task to create daily centers that are fun, developmentally appropriate and standard based. But it can be done! The use of 5 iPads in my classroom can help with this task tremendously! With Apps like MathKid’, ‘TensFrameSnap’, and ‘StarFall’, just to name a very few, my students are able to independently utilize the iPads in a center, while having fun, and learning., They can use headphones to keep noise level to a minimum while my aide and I focus on our small group, teacher lead centers. iPads would be a significant blessing to my students and their learning.
