I plan to print words in color to increase reading fluency in my class. The colored coded words and sounds will help the students recognize different blends, suffixes, prefixes, digraphs and diphthongs. I can highlight words within a word to assist them in becoming fluent readers. I would like to eliminate any barriers that they may have when they are learning to read in English. I know that they can become fluent readers if they had access to color coded print rich work. Bold color print and highlighting different blends, digraphs, word chunks and sight words will definitely increase their reading abilities.
