The books will be used to expand the language and literacy skills of the students I see. The books cover a range of experiences and have many different characters so we can explore character development, different social situations, and how the characters from the story handle those situations, as well as a range of narrative and text formats to increase language skills such as story retell and identifying expository text structures to increase comprehension. Evidence-based research shows that a literacy-based approach to increase the language and social skills of children is the most effective.

About my class
