Students use liquid chalk markers to complete formative assessments on a daily basis in my classroom. I have found my students to be very enthusiastic and noticeably more engaged in their work and less disruptive of their peers when they are given an opportunity to share their work on their desks. I have never had more engagement than when I told my students to do their work on their tables. Displaying work on their tables allows me to see at a glance my students understanding of science concepts. Chalk markers are expendable and your donation to this project will allow me to continue using this very valuable assessment tool.
