My students struggle in the areas of science and math, however I have witnessed first hand what hands on activities can do for their learning and in turn enthusiasm for learning. A STEAM MakerSpace will given these students opportunities for hands on activities in new areas of science, technology, engineering, arts, and math to broaden their knowledge. My students need hands on, self directed learning opportunities such as the JuniorScope, Roller Coaster Challenge, Gravity Maze, Lego Chain Reaction and crafting supplies that will help them develop their STEAM skills and knowledge. Your generous donations will give these students new experiences to develop STEAM skills which could greatly change and enhance their future endeavors. I believe the more they are exposed to these activities them more likely they are to seek careers in these fields.
