My students would greatly benefit from a listening center, especially my Ell students. Students will be able to use the listening center during Reading to listen to a story being read to them, while they follow along. The listening center would help my students build sight vocabulary, foster independence, and expose them to a variety of story structures. This listening center would also let students know what "fluent" sounds like while listening. Furthermore, this center would also help students build on comprehension and with listening skills. The most importantlyy students will be having fun while learning all these different skills.
