The tablets and earphones I am requesting will provide my students with much needed alternative learning styles. The special needs population that I teach requires hands on experiences to access learning. Students will be able to follow along with books, gain auditory input for phoneme building skills, and play math games that keep them engaged and interested. They will learn how to search the web for information needed to write their "All About" books, and use technology to create and compose their finished projects. Many of them have fine motor delays and the touchscreen allows them to gain valuable knowledge without the frustration of holding a pencil.
