In order to meet the needs of our 21st century techno savvy learners, we use technology on a daily basis to teach new concepts as well as reinforce mastered skills. Our students learn through direct, individualized, and repeated instruction. We are able to use technology, music, interactive learning, and hands on activities in order to meet the needs of all of our students and their learning styles. Currently, we have 2 classroom iPads and 2 desktop computers in our room. Being able to add another iPad with OSMO to our classroom would give our students even more opportunities for collaboration and active engagement through hands on instruction. The OSMO learning kits will encourage essential strategies for success in problem solving, creative thinking, and teamwork. Many of the students in my classroom do not have access to technology at home, so by offering new and innovative ways to learn through programs like OSMO, we are giving our students exactly what they deserve, the same exciting and engaging opportunities as their age appropriate peers.
