In my classroom students will be conducting numerous hands-on projects. These projects will be student-led and encourage teamwork and cooperation. I will introduce pollution using a variety of methods including the water testing kit. Students will use the iPad to explore data that exist on their subject and also to take pictures. Students will be out of the classroom, around the school, and in their local community actually making a difference and gaining valuable knowledge. Students will conduct hands-on investigations in their community and present their data and findings in a creative way. Students will take ownership because they will be able to use the printer to add photographs to their displays as evidence of their hard work! Community leaders will be invited to listen to the students presentations and view their displays.
