In my 6th grade Earth science class, we spend a lot of time investigating ideas and finding support to back up our thoughts and ideas about the lessons. Students enjoy creating video blogs to explain concepts, teach content and share ideas. Not only is this activity one that they enjoy but it helps them to share their voice in a 21st Century way. The activity doesn't end there. The lessons end with students listening to each others recordings and help their peers answer questions or improve on their evidence. Many of my students are ESL and need to be able to verbalize their thoughts or low income and can't have their own headphones. I am requesting a class set of headphones with microphones so that all students will have equal opportunity to be heard in their recordings. Thank you for your consideration.
