By having enough leveled reading books for my students, they are given the opportunity to take these books home each night and read with their family or friends. It helps them practice and let's them show off what they have learned. In kindergarten at our school, the students must read every night for homework. If they do not have books at home, theybget very discouraged and cannot complete the assignment. Having these books will give each one of my students the same opportunity to learn to read as the rest. Reading is so important at this age! I am so excited for this year. I cannot wait to watch my little ones grow into readers!
