My second graders are VERY serious about our reading goals! We have been setting goals since our first day of school and have already met two of them reading over 500 books! Every day, we choose a spot in the room, grab a new book, and fall in love with the characters! Unfortunately, I do not have enough comfy seats for everyone in my class which makes settling down and REALLY getting cozy very difficult. I am confident that by adding a few more seating options for students. like these floor pillows and beanbag seats . . . I can help their reading engagement! These are fantastic kids . . . they truly want to learn!
