Extending our classroom outdoors provides an opportunity for my students to express their creativity in new and different ways as a part of important purposeful play. By adding the choice of painting during outdoor play, our students will have opportunities to express their stories and creativity in new and different ways. As an added bonus, our students will be able to enjoy the fresh air and observe and paint the beauty around them. The indoor-outdoor three-person easel will encourage conversation and collaboration. Providing opportunities for my language learners to express themselves in multiple ways gives students the ability to tell their unique stories.
