Every day I welcome my fifteen kids into my classroom; meeting them where they are at! Kids today are so glued to screens and instant gratification that holding their attention in a classroom can be challenging. We use a lot of hands-on engagement, encouraged to stand at the table, or use our classroom exercise ball when they need to wiggle. Studies have proven the incredible growth in focus and learning by moving, wiggling, and fidgeting at school. I would absolutely love for my kids to have resources to do this every single day and not argue over our one exercise ball. I'm requesting flexible options for choice seating (textured discs, K'Motion Stools, Wobble Cushions, Bouncy Bands for Chairs) and fidgets (TheraPutty, Tangles, etc.) to enhance our learning time with optimal focus. These kids deserve the best, and using these tools will definitely enhance our learning time. By wiggling and moving in a controlled manner, we can strengthen our cores and focus on the education rather than the attention distractions!
