My students live in a high poverty region of Oklahoma. Many have never left the city. "Field Notes From a Catastrophe" will be their ticket to explore the effects of global warming on communities all over the world. Through this book, students will be able to see the real impact our actions have on people and their environment. The Environmental Science textbooks at our school are ancient and outdated. My students need books that offer the latest information and data on how climate change is both caused by and negatively impacting people all over the world.
