My district doesn't have the extra funds necessary to be able to purchase enough copies of these texts for each student to have their own copy. While we are going our best to provide students a safe, socially distant in-person learning experience, it is imperative they are able to have their own book. This project will also allow me the ability to send necessary materials home to students who are remote. Connections are needed more than ever right now. When we can all be reading and learning with the material in front of us, it creates the opportunity for students to engage in conversation and make connections with the characters and their peers.

About my class
