My students are pre-teens who don't have the necessary supplies for school. Some don't have the supplies due to the financial strain buying school supplies puts on the family. Others don't have supplies, because their family life is too stressful for them to remember a pencil when escaping to school. My NY students have a passion to learn and need a creative environment to stimulate their active imaginations. These students deserve as stimulating an environment as more fortunate students. I would love to create an uplifting classroom for my kids. I want to be inspired and motivate them when they walk into the room. By having a large supply of a variety of paper, markers, erasers, and a class set of dry erase boards would be very much appreciated. Think about a classroom without paper! How can they learn when they have nothing to write with or on? If you think back, one of the best things about the first day of school is having brand new supplies. With your help, our classroom will be ready to start the new 2017 year off right with these basic, necessary school supplies
