These materials will help so much in our small reading and math groups that I work with. My students love coming to small group and having timers and dry erase boards to help us practice our reading, spelling, and math skills will make our learning so much more fun! We love to use timers while practicing math facts and while reading for fluency, whether it's how many sight words we can read in a certain amount of time or practicing our fluency and words per minute, the students love to see if they can beat their previous scores, but we need timers! (My phone timer just doesn't do the trick) Our dry erase boards will also make our games so much more fun by being able to write our spelling words or math answers on them then erase them and be ready for the next one, and we'll save a ton of paper too! I try to make coming to small group fun as and interactive as I can! The tablets will help my students be more engaged and will help them practice and reinforce the skills they are learning in the classroom. We have a set of Chromebooks for our grade, but there's only enough for one class to use at a time, and most times they're being used when I'm working with small groups. I'd love to be able to have a set of tablets for my small groups so they can come in and practice their math facts on Extra Math every day, (instead of once every other week or so) or be able to to use accelerated reader and other programs to help reinforce decoding, phonics and reading skills. It will also help them become more familiar with technology and its use in the classroom!
