PocketLab science is a new innovative way to connect students to the world around them using a small sensor that is small enough to fit in your pocket. Students will use STEM (Science Technology Engineering & Mathematics) skills to complete lab situations. The laboratory experiments allow students to interact with results and make conclusions based on the collected data. Students today need to become independent thinkers and problem solvers. PocketLab experiments create endless possibilities for students to take a real-world problem and analyze solutions. The data students receive through these technology-based labs will create critical thinkers and problem solvers. They will have practice in analyzing information and creating conclusions based on information gathered. Students will integrate science, technology, engineering and math simultaneously. PocketLab science is an inventive approach to integrating science with other academic areas. Hands-on activities help students to understand concepts at higher levels. Students involved in these experiences will comprehend and understand topics presented at higher levels. Students are not only learning skills, but they are interacting with content. This interaction will improve student learning and understanding tremendously.
