My students are those who are given little chances in life. Most get free lunch and almost everyone is dealing with difficult and sometimes heartbreaking situations at home and in their communities. My students have been given very little support in traditional schools so they have chosen our alternative high school. Despite all the reasons to give up on education they have persevered.
